I started woodworking with my grandfather when I was very young. I still have one of the first projects I ever made, I was four years old at the time. I spent years lending a hand and working on projects with the old man, and somewhere along the way I fell in love with making things myself. When he passed, I inherited some of his tools. Since then I've added plenty of my own, and I've continued building on what he taught me.

My grandfather loved making things for other people. He enjoyed watching someone pick up something he'd made, inspect it, and appreciate all the little details. I realized I feel the exact same rush. His work was rustic and practical; mine tends to be more refined and sculptural, but the fundamentals he taught me are still there. I took that passion and those lessons, added my own style, and kept building from there.

The Tired Hippy Co grew out of that process. What started as experimenting with dab tools eventually grew into something that I thought could become something real. I don't want to sell things I wouldn't use myself, so I spent years refining products that became part of my own everyday life. I haven't used a conventional dab tool in more than six years. I've worn my own pendants every day for Multiple years, and most of what I wear is something I've dyed myself.

I don't try to make every piece look the same. I like experimenting with different shapes, designs, and woods, and letting each piece develop its own character. Every piece is worked on individually, from selecting the wood blank to carving, sanding, finishing, and crafting the tip. It's a one-of-a-kind piece that was made FOR a PERSON - even if I didnt know who that person was yet.
